Hane Waiya-do Biography

Brief Biography:

Born in Los Angeles, CA and we moved to San Francisco, CA when I was 5.

During Junior High and High School, I learned to play classical piano, upright bass, and sang in A-capella and Chamber Choirs. I didn't enjoy my piano recitals at all. But I enjoyed playing with The All-City Orchestra, Jazz Band, Pacific Music Camp (that was in 9th grade)

I always carried a sketch pad growing up and filled it with many drawings. Sometimes when I was sad I would sit by the sea and watch the sea gulls dance along the waves. I wrote poetry then and still do.

Later in life I discovered I enjoyed having my watercolors in galleries on the East Coast. But the demands of a full time career and painting, well, I became "burned out" when art became a business. I was part of a juried show with the Baltimore Watercolor Society.

Now I write music and hope one day to return to my art.
